Week 6 — Positive Energy and Steadiness (Samatva)
I spread only positive energy. When challenges come, they pass through me without shaking me, because Shiva within me stays steady.
This week's idea: the sthitaprajña (Gita 2.54–2.58) is not shaken by sorrow or excited by pleasure. Between what happens and how I respond, there is a space. In that space, I choose. Focus only on what I control.
Read: Gita 2.54–2.58, and Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman (chapters on self-control).
Phrases this week
- Let me think about that for a moment.
- I understand why you feel that way.
- Let's focus on what we can do.
- It's okay, we'll figure it out.
- Everything happens for our good. (Antha manchike)
